B2B Marketing sits at the centre of the DFDS Business. Our primary role is to connect our audiences and customers with our products, services, brand and experiences. We do this through impactful brand building efforts, creative acquisition and retention activities and constantly driving towards a more insight driven approach. With HQ based in CPH our diverse team of 12 is based in Denmark, Sweden, UK, Netherlands, Turkey and Lithuania, which allows us to have a both global and local perspective on the marketing we do. We focus on a close collaboration with our colleagues in sales, tech and other HQ and regional functions. And we do it while having a blast and building a great team culture.

What kind of exciting challenges can you expect to meet in this role? 

In the role as Regional Marketing Manager, you will be co-responsible for B2B Marketing in the region. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues in the other regions as well as global B2B marketing. You will be as a trusted partner to the Regional Managing Director, Sales Directors and the rest of the leadership team ensuring marketing activities are aligned with regional activities.

Some of your key responsibilities and activities will be:

  • Develop and implement innovative regional marketing strategies that establish and reinforce DFDS as a leader in the continental Logistics and transport sector. 
  • Be the master of translating global positioning into a meaningful and connecting position within the region. And secure globally driven activities are designed and implemented with the highest impact locally possible. 
  • Proactively engage customers and promote DFDS through a variety of marketing tactics and materials that showcase our unique value proposition. 
  • Support and maintain a strong brand presence within target customer markets and lead the charge for DFDSs representation at high-influence industry events within local markets. 
  • Build and develop communication for the marketing plan in close collaboration and alignment with global comms team, including establishing knowledge and relationships with targeted media and other channels of local influence. 

Additional responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product marketing, the local product business unit, and account management team to develop and educate our current and potential customers through campaigns, newsletters, content, social media, events, and more. 
  • Monitor market trends to anticipate customer needs and help inform strategy and the positioning of DFDS.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activity within the region to inform sales and marketing strategies. 
  • Identify new growth markets and work with product, account management, and the broader marketing team to develop a sales pipeline for new opportunities.

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:    

  • Proven track record of delivering outstanding marketing performance, incl. Proven campaigns, programs and market development. 
  • High level of B2B industry understanding and how marketing can be applied to strengthen position, develop pipeline, drive brand value and develop customers together with other commercial teams incl. Sales. 
  • Strong communication and media background with ability to utilize DFDS strong global activities as well as local activities to develop compelling and engaging stories. 
  • Fluency in Dutch & English preferred 
  • Bachelor's degree in business or other relevant field.
