Operations Coordinator

Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12-hour shifts), this is a great chance to join a focused, hardworking, and bubbly team. Being computer literate, your main role will be to accurately check-in freight and tourist vehicles/passengers at either the check-in booths or the Driver’s Reception Building. Ensuring good practice of Health and Safety for your colleagues and customers, you will be assisting with loading and discharging the vessels, involving communication and use of hand-held UHF radios. Having an eye for detail, this role will involve completing damage reports of unaccompanied trailers reporting for shipment.

Being able to work on your own initiative, you will represent the company in a smart, professional, and dedicated manner, making freight reservations by email and telephone, always meeting the customer service standards set by DFDS. In addition to this, you will be responsible for handling ticket sales in cash or by credit card, for both freight and tourist vehicles/passengers. We’ll need to be able to work in a fast paced and everchanging environment, and possess a high level of attention to detail, which is paramount for this role.
