Product Owner in our Passenger Tribe

Then this is your opportunity to grow your potential in DFDS A/S as we are seeking a Product Owner to help develop and own the vision for the Passenger Retail & Port experiences. 
  

Can you develop the retail experience that creates value for customers and the company?  

Within the Technology & Innovation Division we have several Tribes and teams supporting the 3 core activities of the company; Ferry & Terminals, Logistics and Passenger.  

As the Product Owner for the retail experience, you’ll be part of the Passenger Tribe, which support a business that operates and sells in markets across several European countries having colleagues in the passenger business over 9 routes from the English Channel, the North Sea, Oslo, and right across the Baltic.  

You will join 2 other Product Owners and myself, the Tribe Lead, to form the
Leadership of the Passenger Tribe ~40 people.
This means as part of the Tribe Leadership you will get a real say in how we
inspect and adapt our team setup within the Tribe. Developers are line-managed and their skills fostered within Chapters so you will be able to concentrate on the business value, and developing long term objectives and vision with stakeholders around the business.
 


Your key responsibilities are: 
 

  • Owning the Vision of the retail & passenger experience on board our vessels & stores 

  • Ensure successful upgrades & smooth operation of our on board Retail system (LS Retail), check in, boarding & cabin access technologies across the fleet (~30 locations) 

  • Collaborate with our colleagues in the Passenger Division to ensure standardisation so we get maximum value out of our on-board retail & operational port set ups 

  • Developing long term objectives and ambitions with key stakeholders  

  • Keeping a close relationship with our ships and ports & monitor data platforms to understand the operational reality and gather customer insights 

  • Analysing on board sales data & patterns in support cases to ensure data driven direction setting 

  • Ensuring your team has ambitious yet achievable objectives and KPIs that get met  

  • Empowering your team to be self-driven, efficient, and good collaborators 

 

You will be involved in a wide range of projects across the business. The nature and complexity of these will vary over time.  
 

Communicator and stakeholder wiz with Product Owner experience in eCommerce  

We are looking for a profile with passion for customer-driven design & thinking. A good foundation in technology and profound understanding of retail and travel experience processes is a must. As such, you like to challenge and bring new ideas to the table with an open mind for other input as well.

Your previous career has taught you to
navigate safely in a complex setting with multiple stakeholders and parallel agendas across sites in different countries.
As you will be the
link between stakeholders and colleagues with different professional and cultural backgrounds you must be a very good communicator.
