Purchasing Specialist


We are looking for a 'Purchasing Specialist'

DFDS is a European company with Group procurement as a centralized function. You will have many different stakeholders in different departments – both internally and externally. Group Procurement is placed in various locations across Europe. The role will be located in the DFDS office in Istanbul, Turkey and be reporting into the Head of Direct Procurement located in Head offices in Copenhagen, Denmark.


Your responsibility:

Your responsibilities will be in the areas of business intelligence and master data management, which are the two key areas in the digital procurement journey.

• Manage procurement processes of goods and services.
• Monitoring the status of the contracts and the contractual provisions, evaluation, and preparation of claim documents,
• Preparing order follow-up reports and distributing these reports periodically to all relevant groups,
• Resolve Sourcing/Procurement related issues between processes and suppliers.
• He/she outside of having the technical knowledge, we need someone who is versatile and resilient
• This person also needs to be able to process the different requests that are urgent.


Professional Qualifications:

Our internal stakeholders are skilled & knowledgeable, so it is important that you have the right interpersonal qualifications.

• Having the technical knowledge about vessels and mechanics,
• Having procurement experience min 2 years.
• Who is versatile and resilient and able to handle things when there is an ambiguity
• Self-motivated
• Able to work flexible working times as it is 7/24 hours operation
• Fluent in English as there will be multinational stakeholders
• Good at MS Office
• Patient, positive, resillient
