Audience Insight Speciaiist

Due to an increase in our workload & an internal promotion, we are looking for an insight specialist to be based in Copenhagen, covering our Copenhagen-Frederikshavn-Oslo route. The Audience Insights team is currently expanding and will consist of four specialists, two hands-on managers, and a head of the team.

In the Audience Insights team, you’ll get the chance to be part of a team that is key to a range of processes in the marketing department of DFDS.

We highly value the freedom to creatively teach our colleagues about our customers and whilst you’ll be cooperating closely with team members dedicated to other European routes, you’ll be left plenty of freedom to solve requests and projects on the Copenhagen-Frederikshavn-Oslo route the way you see best fit.

Your physically closest colleagues in the Copenhagen Head Quarter are a diverse, fun, and caring group of marketeers – your task is to help them understand our customers - and potential customers! If you can make these marketeers laugh or smile at the same time, it’s a big plus.

The Insights Team itself is spread across Denmark, England, and the Netherlands – of which one is Copenhagen based too.


Main responsibilities

Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance, working across all marketing functions to ensure insights are effectively developed and implemented.

Tasked with running projects, contributing to key initiatives, combined with producing & presenting, informative & actionable insights, to help drive business decisions.

Creating the data extracts needed for analysis and requests on the markets & routes, you will participate in the ongoing product development & campaign activities, as well as discussions with the various marketing teams, to ensure we deliver on customer expectations.


Additional tasks could be the following

  • Work on understanding our brand awareness and analyse our competitors to compare marketing performance.
  • Use research methodologies to provide valuable insights to support campaign and product team
  • Support analytics tools set up to correct discrepancies and ensure quality


Preferred professional candidate profile

We need a proactive colleague with excellent English communication skills who is passionate about turning data into insights that are digestible for our marketing colleagues.

It’s a must to have software intuition and you’ll be expected to be in the technical end of the wider marketing team.

Someone with experience in data preparation, blending tools & data visualisation, preferably within Tableau or similar data visualisation tools.

Understanding of Digital Marketing & skilled in the Google product suite & experience of research tools such as SurveyMonkey.

Furthermore we expect you to have some knowledge in:

  • Data Understanding
  • Digital Marketing

 You must have strong communication & presentation skills. Proactive and motivated team player who is a self-starter, curious, and ambitious and who can see the value of working closely together with colleagues.
