The Role An opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager within the Logistics Division. The role will be centred around ensuring best fit equipment (Truck / Trailer) is specified and implemented across the logistics division:

  • Overseeing a fleet of circa 2,000 trucks and 8,000 trailers from a fleet replacement planning perspective
  • Close liaison with operational colleagues working on equipment specifications
  • Being the key liaison between operations and manufacturers controlling aftersales activities
  • Maintaining a close relationship with manufacturer / partners managing the replacement of fleet assets
  • Control of reporting following the performance of fleet assets
  • Leading the business holding review meetings to ensure efficient use of fleet assets
  • Direct input to the fleet replacement planning and evolution of equipment required
  • Close liaison with Sustainable Logistics team evaluating global impact of fleet assets
  • Leading projects and trials for new fleet asset technologies / developments
  • This role will require an element of European travel
  • You would be expected to be in the Immingham office 1-2 days per week
