Production Scheduler & Logistics Planner

The Role… A vacancy has arisen for a Production Scheduler and Logistics Planner at DFDS Logistics based in Cavan. The main purpose of the role will be to Lead the planning / production operation of a busy logistics operations department and support the production and warehousing activities of a manufacturing plate.

Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; a high degree of flexibility will be required should operations required.

Principle responsibilities and activities:

• Production scheduling
• Logistics planning
• Overseeing warehouse capacities and stock rotation
• Organising weekly meetings with production and logistics team
• Overseeing warehouse capacities and stock rotation

Key Skills:

• Good knowledge of in forecasting and planning tools  ( IFS / SAP ect )
• Short sea / Deep sea experience desirable 
• Experience supervising a team desirable
• IT Literate
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skill both written and verbal
