Then you are the right Network Technician for our DFDS Operations infrastructure team.
As our Network Technician, you will be part of our infrastructure team “IT Communication”, where you will work with daily operations and maintenance of DFDS’s Enterprise Network.
In this role you will be working with exciting and challenging projects in all parts of the network undertaking tasks of network development and maintenance.
You will be responsible for designing, automating and operating the network in ways that optimize its performance making sure that we support an “On-premise” and are able to kickstart our strategy of designing and implementing a “Pure Cloud” and “Hybrid Cloud” presence.
The goal is to create and sustain a well-functioning and reliable network to ensure the unobtrusive operation of the business.
You have the end-to-end ownership of our Enterprise Network and have the ability to influence your working day, with a relative short organizational distance to decisions, at the same time you have an operation responsibility, where you quickly will feel as an important part of the team.
Besides working in a team, the department “IT communication” cooperates with other infrastructure departments, DevOps, developers, Cloud Enablers and end-users, so all in all a very diverse international exciting environment. The later also means that some travel activity must be expected.

Preferred professional candidate profile
The ideal candidate will be a competent individual with great passion for technology. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the network functions.
Therefore, we expect the candidate to know the traditional network disciplines. It is also an advantage that you have experience in automation and Cloud integration with a network and security perspective.
Most importantly, you can solve tasks that span core networking, routing, switching, security and LAN, and want to develop in the field of operation.

In addition to excellent technical knowledge and skills, it is required that you possess good analytical skills to evaluate network performance. Problem-solving skills are essential so that you can quickly diagnose faults and restore networks to work in order.
