Global Content Editor

We are looking for a Global Content Editor to take the lead on DFDS web content, working with content owners in group functions and freight & logistics business units.

Your focus will be on getting the necessary web flow and content in place to enable sales and awareness both globally and locally. In addition, the Global Content Editor will be heading up our localization workflow of 20+ local web sites, managing standardized processes and defined governance for content development and translations. 

Main responsibilites

In close collaboration with the business units, you ensure that the presented offerings for Freight and Logistics on DFDS.com are always updated and relevant. This process involves coordination of translations and sourcing of raw data for content creation, layout and publishing prioritization.

You will build detailed knowledge of our global web templates and content components, in order to be able to apply the available functionality in the best way to meet content marketing goals and advising business stakeholders on how best to optimise content for conversion. You will be the go-to-person for day-to-day localisation projects and act as the account manager towards internal customers and budget owners.

Additional tasks

  • Taking the lead on the company website content development
  • Defining central vs local content structures and train local teams in working with their local pages
  • Launching and activate new functionality for the web site
  • Supervising and monitoring organic ranking and implement content SEO strategy for both central and local sites

The preferred candidate profile

We imagine you have more than five years of demonstrated excellence in managing web sites and working with CMS systems and web platforms. This means that you are knowledgeable about site management and managing global web structures and content. You understand marketing technology and how the web platform fits into the overall marketing system landscape. Furthermore, we imagine you are:

  • Comfortable with frequent cross-functional and senior management contact and able to exert indirect authority to deliver results
  • Experienced in a multi-language, ecommerce publishing environment, including globalization for translation, terminology databases and management.
  • Editorially strong with proofreading skills, as well as experience adhering to editorial and technical style guides
  • A proven multitasker, able to project manage small- to medium-size projects, prioritize multiple stakeholder needs, and meet ambitious deadlines
  • Autonomous, driving projects through to completion
