Administrative Assistant

In DFDS we are always focusing on the future, making sure we are prepared for it and can handle whatever challenges it may throw at us. The financial situation in the market due to the uncertainties around BREXIT is one of these challenges. And we want to stay on top of these future challenges as well as keep strengthening our current setup. We have created this position now, to make sure we have the necessary resources for the job.


The job

You will be handling daily support of our services in DK Agency. This includes client follow-up, statistical analysis, billing, toll administration and ongoing information to our internal operative resources.

Going forward, you and your colleague will also be handling the customs tasks of the DK Agency concerning UK (especially regarding BREXIT) and Norway. You will be in ongoing dialogue with SKAT and make sure, we’re always up-to-date about the latest procedures and regulations. We’re also looking into the possibility to establishing a small customs team in Fredericia in the future.

In addition to this, you will be:


  • Taking on a variety of administrative and practical tasks such as coordinating of internal administrative resources, social events, lunch arrangement, booking of meetings, office facilities and the like.
  • Supporting internal DFDS projects, making sure, we keep our deadlines and structure.
  • Keep an overview of employees’ time registration (vacations, travel days etc.).
  • Managing the invitations to monthly internal Town Hall meetings.
  • Participating in the administration of F.C. Copenhagen Sponsorship.


Our expectations to you

We expect you to have an education within Shipping, Freight Forwarding or the like. It could be an administrative or economic education too. If you have knowledge of Taxation, Customs and/or
Excise it will be a great advantage.
