The DFDS’ Global Travel trade & Retail IJmuiden team is responsible for Creating, managing and changing group bookings. Organizing relationship management and workshops for Key Accounts as well as being responsible for target and customer-oriented sales and informing group products.

Do you want to work in a fun & innovative team to manage and organize the group booking activities across the Group Passenger business? DFDS can offer you a challenging, interesting and rewarding role. This is a part time (60%) position.
This role will be based at DFDS’ IJmuiden office.

Role description:

Main responsibilities:


  • Ensure efficient processing and management of group reservations and information requests by telephone, internet and mail for all DFDS passenger routes
  • Providing good service, accurate information and advice to the customer
  • Pro-actively selling the total product package including additional products
    create, follow up and handle quotations in CRM
  • Daily management of (group) allotments
  • Checking group payments

 Remaining responsibilities:

  • Agent management in CRM
  • Handling group related complaints
  • In close cooperation with the web editor keeping up to date of all group information on the Website
  • Take care of after sales
  • Planning workshops with Key Accounts
  • Active thinking about (group) products and booking routines
  • Supporting activities for the Sales Manager such as visit preparation / reports / follow-up, sales reports, etc.

Profile: Skills, experience, education

Dutch and English language skills are a requirement. 

Furthermore, MBO working and thinking level, e.g. towards tourism
Commercial, customer oriented, good numerical insight/Analytical skills
a positive attitude and mindset, pro-Active and disciplined.
Microsoft Office skills

Willingness to travel occasionally.
