Finance Controller

We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join our Equipment Team in Immingham for DFDS Logistics Ltd. Reporting directly to the Asset Manager and working alongside the management team to drive the department agenda. Whilst still working within a team, the position is a standalone role with no direct team reporting into them. The role requires a driven and self-motivated person who can provide financial analysis and guidance to the business while challenging and striving for improvements.

Who we are looking for…You will have experience in a similar Finance role, ideally within a multinational company; you will also have excellent communication skills and can challenge approaches within a diverse and fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills aligned to exceptional commercial, budget and strategic expertise will be essential. You will relish working within a deadline driven environment with high levels of autonomy and will take pride in every individual and team success delivered by the business.

Responsibilities…Some of the key responsibilities will be finance reporting, annual budgeting, forecasting and the strategic planning process, working closely with out-based equipment pool managers to develop fleet reporting models driving improvements to bottom line performance. We are constantly reviewing processes and looking for improvements, and would expect you to adopt the same approach through improving the overall reporting and planning process. Creation of Ad-Hoc business reporting models and business cases to support fleet Investment / Divestment as well KPI data models tracking fleet spend on key asset types / spend types. You will need to take the initiative, have flexibility and commitment towards developing a growing part of the business. You should take full ownership of the role, with creativity and drive, coupled with a strong sense of team spirit. You will need to have a good understanding of financial data analysis and the ability to draw sound conclusions and proposals from it.
