Project Manager

DFDS has successfully undergone major changes in recent years. DFDS is the consolidator in the industry and has acquired a number of businesses and revenue is today approx. double the size of that in 2009. As part of the DFDS Group’s continued growth and development, we are looking to strengthen our internal Transformation Office (TMO) and are therefore seeking an ambitious Project Manager to our TMO team.

The Transformation Office

The Transformation Office (TMO) supports the Executive management and the line of business with consultancy services on various and very diverse strategic projects throughout the company. Projects range from strategy-, integration, turnaround, operational efficiency improvements, process optimizations and change management projects. Today, the TMO consists of 7 employees with a broad range of expertise and skills. You will report to Filip Hermann, Director, Head of Transformation Office.

The position

As a Project Manager, you will become the expert in the process surrounding a project from beginning to end. Your focus will be to support the business with all tasks needed for the project to become a success, this will include, but is not limited to:

• Project planning and management

• Analysis and business cases

• Implementation of solutions and best practices

• Involve and coordinate with all stakeholders

Your role as an in-house consultant will vary. In some projects, you will be responsible for driving the project forward, whilst in others you will be part of a work group: analyzing issues and implementing solutions.

Ambitious, hard working and strong personal drive

We expect you to have completed a Masters degree within business, economics or engineering, e.g. cand.merc., cand.polit., cand.polyt. at the top of your class. The ideal candidate has two-three years of practical experience from a top-tier management consulting company or from a similar position in another large, international firm. The most important is that you have a good sense of project management, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills. English is a prerequisite.

The job is based in DFDS Headquarters in Copenhagen, but extensive travelling in periods to DFDS’s other locations around Europe must be expected. Unique opportunity to get solid business sense and a high speed career
