At DFDS, we believe that digital technologies and the pace of their adoption are key driving forces in changing the ways that businesses work. The Digital organization within DFDS has a broad scope and is designed to operate both centrally and cross-functionally, in close cooperation with senior management, core business areas and IT teams.
We are looking for a capable and energetic Project Manager with experience of running Digital projects (spanning business, technology and marketing disciplines).
Your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
- Managing either one large or several smaller projects, depending on the state of the current roadmap and portfolio
- Keeping on top of your project’s budget and schedule
- Scope, risk and quality management
- Stakeholder coordination
- Identifying opportunities for improving process and internal collaboration, and driving improvement initiatives forward
- Proactively designing incrementally better (leaner) ways of managing and governing projects – from experiments through to ongoing product development
- Ensuring relevant project documentation is produced, maintained, and reported, and that unnecessary bureaucracy is avoided.
You will work closely with Group and Divisional Digital and IT Officers, as well as subject matter experts in the Digital department, to manage initiatives that cross business, IT, and agency teams. You will be based at our HQ in Copenhagen (Nordhavn) and report directly to the Vice President, Head of Digital.
Drive, pragmatism and experience
We expect you have completed a degree in a Digital, Business, Economics or Engineering discipline and have 3-5 years of experience of managing complex digital and/or business change projects. We are specifically interested in candidates with experience of the marketing technology landscape.
We also looking for extremely acute organizational and administrative skills, a very high level of both written and verbal communication in English, and the ability to communicate with business, creative and technical colleagues at all levels with ease.
You are self-driving, problem solving and pragmatic, with respect for colleagues and the confidence to delegate work in specialist areas. It is essential that you both practice and advocate Lean ways of working and are able to manage stakeholder expectations and provide visibility into ongoing progress and status without creating unnecessary reporting overheads.
You have a deep interest in and knowledge of digital technologies, behaviours and market developments and are motivated by being part of a small, high-performing team who embrace challenge and change, and in which all team members relish working top to bottom in their roles.
