Do you want to drive and lead our Treasury team?
Treasury is a small and dynamic team and part of the Corporate Finance department, which also includes M&A activities and strategy plan as well as other financial projects (Working capital optimization, investment application reviews, share buy backs etc.). The Treasury team comprises a Treasury Specialist and two student assistants. You will be reporting to VP Corporate Finance and be based at our HQ in Nordhavn, Copenhagen
As Group Treasurer you will be responsible for all treasury related activities and manage daily operations as well as setting the direction going forward. Being part of a small team, this role will naturally also be involved in the daily operation and it is important that everybody can cover for each other.
Key responsibilities & tasks:
•Lead and develop the treasury function
•Continuous development of the DFDS Financial strategies and policies and ensure execution hereof
•Ongoing contacts with bank relations and negotiate new financing facilities (ship financing, bond issues etc.)
•Perform in-depth analysis of financial risks (FX and bunker risk) and develop adequate hedging strategies
•Continuously improve treasury management reporting of financial risks,status and covenants
•Continue our strong focus on cash management
•Managing treasury integration of newly acquired companies
•Manage corporate finance responsibility areas in new ERP system
•Contribute to corporate finance projects (M&As, share buy backs, capital structure analysis, working capital etc.)
Treasury Specialist with strong personal drive
We are looking for a Treasury specialist, who thrive with being part of the daily operation but would like to move forward his/hers career within Treasury. You have a strong financial and analytical mindset and manage to analyze, calculate and communicate complex financial situations and provide solutions in a structured and easy-to-understand way. The position as Treasurer gives you the opportunity to work with all parts of treasury in a global setting, but also to be increasingly involved in Corporate Finance projects and tasks.
You hold a Master's degree within Finance or Economics and have minimum four years of relevant work experience from a treasury department or a bank. As a person you value collaboration and team work, but you are not afraid of taking responsibility and manage and facilitate projects within a variety of functions and locations. You have good interpersonal skills and are good at communicating with different stakeholders. You are fluent in English
