Sales Executive

The Role… As Sales Executive, you will join the DFDS’ organization in the UK and be responsible for selling international transports and logistics solutions primarily between UK and Europe. You will have daily contact with various potential customers and via phone, email, and personal visits you will assess their logistics challenges and offer DFDS’ solutions.

Together with our central sales support team you are responsible for growing our market share in this area by successfully applying an entrepreneurial sales approach. This is an exciting position and you will have the opportunity to join a successful team where you can have an instant impact on our continued success. You will be part of a field sales team of five and report to our Commercial Director. You can be based in either one of our offices in Immingham or Felixstowe or be based from your home as you are expected to spend a significant part of your time visiting clients. The right candidate must be willing to travel extensively across the UK

Who we need… Ideally you will have a couple of years of relevant sales experience in a similar role with a proven sales record.  Experience from the logistics industry is an advantage however, your ability to identify and pursue business opportunities and your enthusiastic approach are key attributes that we are looking for. You will be responsible for generating sales to achieve maximum profitability. Your focus will be on selling DFDS products and services to our core markets. You will also be required to identify and generate new business opportunities whilst maintaining good relationships with customers.


You should be a self-motivated and confident individual with a strong work ethic who is eager to deliver results. You have good communication skills and have a strong ability to persuade and influence others. You are able to communicate confidently with all levels of the organization and have the ability to work in a team while also delivering independent results. You are outgoing, friendly and have a personal drive
